Soul Mates: Starring Doofus and Darling

Welcome back to our monthly comic series, Doofus and Darling. If you had Highlights for Children magazine when you were young, you’ve seen Goofus and Gallant. If not, it probably doesn’t matter anyway.

A two panel comic called Doofus and Darling. The left panel shows Doofus looking extremely lovestruck over some standard hipster bearded guy. A little bee buzzes around him. The comic is captioned thus: "Doofus thinks almost every guy is cute." On the righthand side, Darling is standing next to the same guy. But he is different. Stink lines, grizzly beard, unwashed hair, a buzzing fly. She looks uncomfortable. The text says, "Darling almost never thinks anyone is cute."
