The Ol’ 9 to 5: Starring Doofus and Darling

Welcome back to our monthly comic series, Doofus and Darling. If you had Highlights for Children magazine when you were young, you’ve seen Goofus and Gallant. If not, it probably doesn’t matter anyway.

Two panel comic called Doofus and Darling. Panel one: Doofus runs down the sidewalk, looking at her wrist watch. The caption says "Doofus is frequently late to work." Panel two shows Darling sitting at her drawing desk, a chain attaches her little ankle to her bed in the background. She looks a little emotionless. Maybe even dead inside. The caption says "Darling can never be late to work."
