Swarm Regards: Starring Doofus and Darling

Welcome back to our monthly comic series, Doofus and Darling. If you had Highlights for Children magazine when you were young, you’ve seen Goofus and Gallant. If not, it probably doesn’t matter anyway.

A small two panel comic called Doofus and Darling. The panel on the left has a girl in a striped shirt, Darling, reacting with a mild panic to one of the many flying insects in the back yard setting. They look loud because there are shout symbols coming from them. The text reads: "Darling is wary of the cicadas in the yard."

In the right panel, a continuation of the scene, A small girl with glasses, a dress, and fuzzy hair looks out of the screen door -- she is frowning heavily and looks to be worried heavily about the insects. The text reads: "Doofus is fully afraid of the cicadas in the yard."

Things were simpler before, but they are also pretty straightforward again soon.
