The First Noble Truth: starring Doofus and Darling

Welcome back to our monthly comic series, Doofus and Darling. If you had Highlights for Children magazine when you were young, you’ve seen Goofus and Gallant. If not, it probably doesn’t matter anyway.

Two panel comic called Doofus and Darling.

On the left, you see Darling (Amandoll, with asymmetrical hair and a striped shirt) seeming to be in pain. She is holding her neck and back, both of which are radiating pain lines from them. Other pain lines emanate from her head, belly, and both ankles. The caption says, "Darling is usually in pain."

On the right is Doofus (Dollissa, a small girl with frizzy hair up in a pony tail, and also she wears glasses). She is also in pain, crossing her arms in front of her and clearly lamenting her situation. Her pain lines are bigger and wavier than Darling's and they radiate from: her head, her upper and lower back, her entire front, and small ones down by her feet. The caption says, "Doofus is always in pain."

Last month we were in the throes of Valentines Day. Next month is a tale of organ betrayal.
